Publisher Description

"Bellarion the Fortunate" is a thrilling historical novel from the master of adventure fiction, Rafael Sabatini, author of "Captain Blood" and "The Sea-Hawk."

Set in 15th-century Renaissance Italy, the novel follows the protagonist, Bellarion, a clever young scholar expelled from his monastery who becomes embroiled in the turbulent politics of Italian city-states. Through wit, intelligence, and remarkable luck, he rises from penniless wanderer to influential political player.

In typical fashion, Sabatini weaves together swashbuckling action, political machinations, and philosophical reflection as Bellarion manipulates events to achieve his goals while maintaining his integrity.

"Bellarion the Fortunate" is presented here in its original and unabridged format.
