“🎸🥅🧁♥️
Not my favorite hockey romance I've ever read. There were parts I did enjoy but there wasn't enough for me to really connect to the characters and their relationship. I will say I'm intrigued for the next couple so i may get to that in the future. Not bad, but there's definitely other hockey romances I'd go for over this one.”

“no third act break up, little miscommunication but not enough to create huge angst. just two adorable characters falling in love and motivating each other to come out of their shells and become better versions of themselves. jamie is most definitely my favorite type of grumpy mmc, with a little dash of softness and awkwardness that he unknowingly masks as intimidation. and as a shy singer myself plagued in self esteem issues and self doubt, pippa spoke to me but also called me out at the same time and that alone is enough to endear her to me. it fetl gratifying to see her find herself in the end and it's given me a teeny tiny bit of hope that maybe someday, i can too.
i can't remember the last time i felt simply chill and giddy while reading a romance without having to brace myself for the inevitable crash and burn before i can enjoy the happily ever after. it's very, very refreshing. i did have some issues with the writing style, and maybe the slower pacing, but they're very minor complaints that i eventually moved past bc the short chapters did make up for it a lot, plus the smut was great too. just all around great vibes. for a romance lover, im happy to report that this right here is a maximum comfort read. solid 4 stars.”

“This was a sweet story. Normally not a fan of slow burns but this worked so well for me! I love that there wasn’t really a third act breakup. My man Jamie was down bad for Pippa throughout, even when he tried to fight it, haha! All in all a sweet story with likeable MCs. Nice for a quick, light read.”
