“I love Natalie Goldberg's non fiction, but this was certainly not that. Her first and only work of fiction was not a hit for me. I read it because I kept hoping it would improve... it didn't. She spent too much time giving sensory details - it was overload. Great for her non fiction writing books, but not for this. Often I found it was too much information that did nothing to move the story forward.
It was an honest story. The story itself was good, but the overabundance of details bogged it down. I was hoping for more and was disappointed.”
