She's just waiting for her chance
As the new VP hired to fill Chase's shoes, Miranda arrives at McDaniel Manufacturing ready for a new challenge, which didn't include being locked in a battle for control. Bachelor CEO is an open door, small town workplace romance with guaranteed happily ever after.
A Goodreads reviewer describes it as "Workaholic male is told to take some time off before he takes over as CEO of his grandfather's business. Career hungry female is to temporairly take over the running of the company. Sparks fly in more ways than one."
