Alias is a sell-sword, a warrior-for-hire, and an adventuress—and she’s in big trouble—in this epic fantasy novel set in Dungeons & Dragons’ Forgotten Realms!
When Alias wakes with a series of twisting, magical blue sigils inscribed on her arms, she has no memory of how she got them.
Determined to learn the nature of the mysterious tattoo, Alias joins forces with an unlikely group of companions: the halfling bard, Ruskettle; the southern mage, Akabar; and the oddly silent lizard-man, Dragonbait. With their help, she discovers the symbols hold the key to her very existence.
But those responsible for the sigils aren’t keen on Alias’s continued good health . . . And if the five evil masters find her first, she may discover all too soon their hideous secret.

“Came at this book with a friend as we mutually wanted to read a strong woman protagonist and this one had a little throwback buzz in the wake of Baldur's Gate 3.
Welp. It sure was a Forgotten Realms book, and a product of its time. I will grant that a lot of the pieces were there to give this a chance to be great: an intriguing plot hook, a deep and lore-rich world, a large cast of unique characters, monsters, and villains. But to me they just didn't come together and instead all managed to get in one another's way, as though the whole were less than the sum of its parts. Still, at the surface level this was a fast-paced adventure with big battles, witty banter, and a few compelling twists and reveals.”
“If you love D&D than you'll find this book fun! There isn't much to the characters but it's action packed with some twists and turns along the way!”
“not bad for a old school TSR novel I shall be looking forward to ready the next”
