“Plot-wise, I would love to see this adapted into a movie. The characters are bright and vibrant and I was super invested in the outcome. I'm a big Pride & Prejudice fan so all the little nods throughout were fun to follow. It was entertaining to see how phrases were adapted to the premise and who each character was portraying from the original.
Writing-wise though, I think this needed more polish. While the character voices felt fleshed out, things in between were wanting. I was craving more descriptions, on the side, more of a feel for the surroundings. Some parts also felt awkward and a little cringe-y, especially the scenes at Khalid's workplace and how Amir and his crew were written.
I did enjoy it though - there were some thoughtful moments and some laugh out loud reactions, at least past the halfway mark where it really got interesting.”
