Avalon Tower

By C.N. Crawford
Avalon Tower by C.N. Crawford digital book - Fable

Publisher Description

Avalon Spy Academy rules: spy on the fey, resist falling for your mentor, and try not to die in the process.

I spent five years saving up for a European vacation. But instead of drinking champagne on the beach, I get swept into a war of espionage between the humans and the fey.

It turns out, I have a magic power needed to fight an evil fey king. I'm quickly whisked off to an elite spy academy--in the hidden realm of Camelot. There, in the ancient and gothic halls of Avalon Tower, snobbery is as much a tradition as the veneration of Merlin and Arthur.

As if I didn't have enough trouble, my new mentor is Raphael Launcelot, a maddingly sexy demi-fey who already ruined my life once. Now, I have to push his distracting allure out of my mind to focus on our mission. We're going into the Fey realm together. If we get captured, we’ll die horrific deaths–and humanity doesn’t stand a chance.

“After a couple of disappointments in other books I’ve recently read, I am so glad that this book was as good as it was. I like the premise of a spy academy in ancient Camelot. I enjoyed how a fairly familiar story was weaved into a unique fantasy series involving magic and a fey realm. It worked so well! I did find the FMC’s situation a little bit unbelievable. Despite her issues with her mother, for someone whose livelihood involved taking care of her, it didn’t feel very realistic that she abandoned her with just a few letters to spare the absence. And she didn’t seem worried about leaving behind her job where she scrimped and saved everything to afford her trip to France. All of a sudden, finances are no longer a concern. Definitely fantasy. But despite this, I really did enjoy the book.”
Beaming Face with Smiling Eyes“CN Crawford did it again! Love loved loved this book! If you like Fae and King Arthur vibes this is it!”
Surprised Face with Open Mouth“I was pleasantly surprised by this book and had to start book 2 immediately! I thought the plot was clever and was unlike a lot of the fantasy books I’ve read. I wasn’t sure I’d be interested in fey + knights of the round table but I ate it up! The pacing was great and it ended on a somewhat predictable cliffhanger but it was still shocking. The only thing I didn’t love were the time jumps, I really wanted to see her friendships grow and like a training montage or something.”
