“did i know what was going on past a surface level? not really
but i did love the writing style. a book that lets you step out of your head and into someone elses is always going to be satisfying”
“It was a lot to take in. Don't get me wrong, the writing was beautiful and was a good ride to read. But at a lot of parts I was more confused then entranced.
Maybe it might just be my "young" mind as im 16, but it was like a walk down the road reading this and tripping every other step. There was no rising action, climax, falling action, or resolution. There was very beautiful scenes, and the writing style is very different but somewhat enticing when reading Elisabeths pov. And for some parts of Daniel's I could follow, though it was definitely hard.
Maybe just not my type of book, but it was still a good read nonetheless.”

ALI SMITH was born in Inverness, Scotland, in 1962 and lives in Cambridge, England. She is the author of Autumn, How to be both, There but for the, Artful, Free Love, Like, Hotel World, Other Stories and Other Stories, The Whole Story and Other Stories, The Accidental, Girl Meets Boy and The First Person and Other Stories. Hotel World and The Accidental were both short-listed for the Man Booker Prize and the Orange Prize. How to be both won the Baileys Women’s Prize for Fiction, the Goldsmiths Prize and the Costa Novel of the Year Award, and was short-listed for the Man Booker Prize. Autumn was short-listed for the 2017 Man Booker Prize.
