Autumn at the Cat Cafe
ByPublisher Description
From USA TODAY bestselling author Kathleen Fuller comes a cozy, kisses-only romance about fresh starts, fall leaves, and finding love right next door, perfect for fans of Gilmore Girls and Sarah Adams.
Via Dalton has sworn off men to focus on the two things she loves most: her quirky cat café, Pawsitive Vibes, and the charming town of Pecan Corner, Ohio. But her peaceful world is shaken when Earl Brewster, the owner of the beloved Second Chapter Books next door, passes away. Via is determined to buy the shop and preserve Earl's legacy, but her plans hit a snag in the form of a tall, handsome, and completely unexpected heir.
Leo Brewster's life is thriving in LA, and the last thing he needs is an inheritance in the middle-of-nowhere, Ohio. But the alternative--letting his estranged mother inherit--has him packing his bags to receive the inheritance, quickly sell it off to the highest bidder, and hightail it back to LA. What he didn't count on was the list of stipulations in the will that has him staying in the small town for a month. Oh, and the determined, sunny café owner next door who refuses to let him destroy the town's heart without a fight.
Desperate to convince Leo the bookstore is vital to her community, Via challenges Leo to complete her Autumn Bucket List. As they navigate corn mazes, pumpkin patches, and fall festivals, Leo begins to see the magic in Pecan Corner--and in Via. Despite her vow to stay single and his plan to leave, the attraction between them simmers like hot cider.
Can a season of small-town charm convince a city boy to stay, or will Via lose both the bookstore and her heart?
Grab a warm drink and curl up with this delightful grumpy/sunshine, opposites-attract story of unexpected love and small-town charm.

“¡Me encantó este libro!
Es un romance súper cozy con una dinámica
Grumpy x Sunshine que se siente ligera y hermosa de leer. Te da totalmente esas vibras acogedoras de otoño que te hacen querer leerlo con una taza de café o té al lado.
el desarrollo de los personajes estuvo genial y el tinal me dejo con el corazón supercontento. Me dio un poquito de culpa no haberlo leido antes,
¡pero valió totalmente la pena! Definitivamente se va a mis recomendados
para la temporada.”
“3.5 ⭐️ rounded up to 4!
I love Kathleen Fuller’s Maple Falls series and had to pick up this ARC!
Via and Leo made such a cute couple. At first I didn’t think I’d like Leo, but I grew to love him. There was a ton of growth for both of them and I enjoyed getting to know their story together. Via’s relationship with her family and friends was solid - I do wish I had seen more of Dora’s and Birdie’s development, but maybe Fuller is looking to do that in the future? I hope so!
I also loved the Cat Cafe storyline. I’ve never read about one before but enjoyed my time at one in real life. Super cute!
Tropes and Vibes in Autumn at the Cat Cafe:
🧡 grumpy/sunshine (at least at first)
🧡 city boy meets small town girl
🧡 I guess this would make this an opposites attract trope, doesn’t it?
🧡 Gilmore girls vibes
🧡 quirky cat sidekick
🧡 no spice romance
🧡 ALL THE FALL VIBES
Personally, Maple Falls still trumps Pecan Corner, but I can be swayed with more books 👀
All opinions are my own - thank you to Kathleen Fuller, NetGalley and Thomas Nelson for this ARC”

“The story follows Via, the owner of Pawsitive Vibes, a cute little cat café, and her adorable cat Sir Meow. Everything’s fine, until a random man enters the bookstore next door, Second Chance, whose owner recently died. It turns out he’s the owner’s nephew, Leo, and the inheritor of it. But he needs to fulfil his uncle’s stipulations in order to own it and then be able to sell it, since he has no will to live in the small town of Pecan Corner. So he asks Via’s help and in exchange he will help her complete her autumn bucket list. Will their chemistry be enough to change Leo’s mind or will it just be a month-long little adventure?
I’m so happy that i had the opportunity to read this book, it’s so cosy and has everything i like: small town, autumn, lots of cats, a bookstore, a café and a grumpy x sunshine trope. It was so easy to dive into the story, the writing is so nice and flowy that i didn’t want to stop reading. I fell in love with Via and Leo (and the other characters) so much and loved their relationship. It was so nice to read about their daily lives in the café and in the bookstore, how they fulfil Via’s bucket list and have so much fun. It made me long to have this, to spend autumn in a small town doing fun little things.

“It really start up soooo well, and I was so into it, I liked the setting of small town vibes, the cat in the story line, and I loved how he was named Sir!! I found him so funny, and it was really cute. And it had really cozy autumn vibes : small town, diff activities, the coffee shop, the friendly neighborhood.
Sadly through the story, I just started getting bored at little bit. It was a slow beginning, and really slow story, which was fine at first, for me, but it kind of just started to be way too slow, and kind of nothing was happening, until it was. And I found the pacing not for me at all…
For the characters, I really enjoyed Via a lot. She was really sweet, but also funny and I loved how she was determined to make the bookstore still live and not sell off and become something else. And how she was so into showing Leo the greatest part of her hometown.
For Leo, it was really different, it took me like half the book to enjoy him just a little bit, because I couldn’t stand him from the beginning at all. That classy guy, with rich vibes and kind of superiority manners really made me hate him a lot. He seemed like a jerk for a really long time, and even when you warm up it’s really not a character I appreciated.
I had a really hard time connecting to the characters because they really missed some depth, and growth through the whole book…
It was marketed as “perfect for fans of Gilmore girls” and of “Sarah Adams”, but sadly i think it’s really not similar at all…
But overall, it was a really easy and at some moments, funny read!!
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this arc!”
