“Beyond the 17-year old lesbian first time sex author fantasy, the character were flat, stereotypical boy doing boy things and girls having crushes and hyperfixating on her crush while she’s supposed to be battling. Typical good v evil but which is which.”
“I really enjoyed this book . I really enjoyed the concept , I really enjoyed the setting. I enjoyed it being a brother and sister and that bond of still loving each other although they are fighting different sides. I also love when they meet because we read from each of their pov and sometimes the brother pov is better and then sometimes the sister so I like when they meet and it’s like a pov from both sides of what’s happening. I don’t understand how everyone isn’t talking about this book all over booktok honestly. I do with there was more fan art because I had a hard time envisioning the gouls for some reason and then also plaugespawns.”

Django Wexler graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh with degrees in creative writing and computer science, and worked for the university in artificial intelligence research. Eventually he migrated to Microsoft in Seattle, where he now lives with two cats and a teetering mountain of books. When not writing, he wrangles computers, paints tiny soldiers, and plays games of all sorts.
