“This series! This book!
Book 4 in the series, the mystery develops more and more (my jaw _literally_ dropped).
This author amazes me with her talent! The way she gives the characters a story of their own but keeps on ensuring that you remember how they all intertwine is amazing!
I couldn't put this book down! A beautiful cross-cultural friends to lovers, I loved how the author emphasises the hero's strength for his harsh reality and the heroine's strength balancing her delicate nature. They are a strong contrast and the epitome of balance and opposites attracting.
I cannot wait for the next installment!!

“Gen Heirs: The Guardians of Sziveria is such a unique and intriguing series, so I was thrilled to receive an advanced copy of the fourth book. The book follows Jonathon and Sylphine, two secondary characters in the previous books. I was so curious to learn more about Jonathon and Sylphine and their relationship. How did they get together? Could they find their way back to each other? Why did they stay engaged so long and not fully commit to each other? All of that and more are answered in Asherwick.
Sylphine and Jonathon have been connected from the start of the series, and there has always been tons of sexual tension between the two. Their banter, the disguised flirtations, and the little ways they show their feelings are fabulous and often angsty. Jonathon and Sylphine are from two different worlds, and they don’t seem to have a lot in common. What they do have is an unbelievable amount of chemistry, and as they grow closer, they realize that they share the same feelings about family, commitment, and their ethical beliefs. I like how this pair slowly learns more about each other and fall even deeper for each other. They have a lot to work through, including things that tore them apart in the past, an unwanted union that Sylphine is fleeing from, and several other dangerous threats, but their feelings for each other never waver. And the ways Jonathon tells Sylphine he cares for her and his unabashed way of expressing himself is so swoon-worthy! They made me love Jonathon so much more, even though he was already one of my favorite characters in the story. They are such a great complement to each other, and I adored their second chance, opposites-attract romance.
Ramsey is another fantastic character, and I love the relationship she has with her brother and with Sylphine. She is so caring and thoughtful – the type of person that puts others at ease. Ramsey lives such an isolated life, yet she learns a lot about herself and her growing abilities over the course of the story. I have a feeling Ramsey will be an integral part of the plot as the series progresses, especially considering some of the revelations about the man she helped put behind bars.
The story also goes more into Jonathon’s work and the unbelievable amount of time he dedicates to it. Jonathon is so committed to helping others, and his devotion and compassion endear him to Sylphine even more. Their journey ties into the overarching plot that began in the first book. This layered story continues to intrigue me!. It’s suspenseful and action-packed, and it seems like for every answer the characters get, more questions arise. Attempted kidnappings and murder, daring escapes and rescues, illegal operations, smuggling, deadly substances, and more wreak havoc over Jonathon, Sylphine, and the rest of the characters, which makes for a really intense and engrossing read.
Speaking of the other characters, many of the protagonists from the previous books in the series have secondary roles in this book, and there are a few delightful surprises revealed. I loved this! These characters are all tied together because of the investigations they are involved in, and I love the scenes when they are together. They form a bit of a found family, which is one of my favorite tropes.
Westill’s books never disappoint. They’re suspenseful, romantic, sexy, and mysterious, and the writing pulls you into this unique and captivating world from the first pages. And after that ending and the shocking revelations about a prisoner connected to Ramsey and the other characters, I can’t wait to read the next book!!”
“I think this book was listed as paranormal romance. I don't really agree. I found this book to be very exciting and action-packed with never a dull moment. It's true that there was a romantic couple involved with some very steamy scenes, but it didn't feel driven solely by the romance. It was much better than the box that genre put it in. I thoroughly enjoyed the intrigue of the mystery interspersed with the sexual tension between the characters. The only reason this book didn't get 5 stars, was because I felt the ending was much too abrupt.. I wanted it to continue. Anyway, I will definitely be following this author now!
