“🎧 This book got me in the feels! YA has been total hit and miss for me lately, but this one totally got me. Well done to Julian Winters 👏. This is a wonderful depiction of the friendships you have in high school and what they can and do mean to you both in that moment and as we age. The transactional friendships we form vs the real ones are likely more prevalent in 2025 than they have been since the influence of social media began; including layers of familial relationships. The kids (teens) in this story wanted to be the best versions of themselves they could, despite all the pressure they felt- from friends (presumed and true), family, school, coaches, etc. They formed a small family in a room during a party. I loved it.”
