“Once again Toni Shiloh has written a lovely, faith-filled novel that everyone will love!
I'm not going to pull any punches. I'm going to share what I loved most about this story right from the get-go. The faith element. The characters are constantly praying and seeking wisdom from friends who are believers as well as family members for the choices they've made. It's actually one of the things that makes Toni a favorite author of mine!
As for the characters and storyline, I really liked the contemporary setting of a marriage of convenience. Trinity and Omar are best friends from childhood as well as adults so they are totally going into this having through through and prayed over the idea! Best laid plans though...
It was great watching Omar and Trinity try to find their feet as a family of four. We also get to see what's running through their minds as they examine their new roles and how they fit together. They both have hurts that they're working through as they start this platonic journey of marriage and family. The author makes it easy to see how difficult the transition is not just for them, but also for Omar's girls.
I really appreciated the people around them who supported them... Rock, Omar's father-in-law and both of Trinity's parents. Trinity's dad gave me some good chuckles. I also loved the looks Jalissa gave Omar! Ha! She's the kind of gal I want in my corner.
This was a quick read and a very sweet and poignant story that was heavily (thankfully) infused with faith! Don't miss out on Toni's newest story!
*I received the ebook for review. This is my personal opinion.

“Oh my goodness! I can't believe I'm just now realizing I never left a review for this book and I just finished it for the second time before reading book two, An Unlikely Alliance. I really love this story. Marriage of convenience is my favorite romance trope and you don't often find it in a modern setting. In that regards, I really liked the way Toni Shiloh handled what a marriage of convenience could look like in a contemporary story since obviously no one was asking for mail order brides or anything. Omar and Trinity have known each other forever and each could benefit from a marriage so they decide to walk down the aisle, or to the courthouse in this case. But no love beyond friendship is in their future. Or is it?
These two definitely has some growing and healing to do. Omar was still struggling with the loss of his first wife, who he felt would be his one and only love. Trinity was learning to heal and trust again after she was left at the altar. But she knew a love marriage was not in her future. However, as they heal and see what a great foundation friendship can be for a marriage, the dynamic between Omar and Trinity begins to shift. Though, as a reader, you really wish you could just tell at them to get over themselves and kiss already! All in good fun though.”
