“An Alaskan Christmas is the seventh book in the Alaskan Grooms series by Belle Calhoune. I love Belle's writing. She somehow always manages to bring me back to reality and make me think about the inspirational aspects of life and how we often don't realize most of the things we are over looking. In An Alaskan Christmas Maggie and Finn were childhood friends who hadn't seen each other in over a decade.
Maggie is a single mother who moved to Love, Alaska for a fresh start. Maggie wants nothing more than her precious son to grow up without the stigma of his fathers mistakes. That can be hard to do when other's want to blame a child for the sins of his father. Can Maggie trust Fin to be around her and her child without them getting to attached.
Fin is a pilot. He wants to partner with his brother in the family charter. In order to do so he needs to help Maggie with her store to get his inheritance. Fin has always had a thing for marriage but he knows he isn't cut out to be a family man. So he can't go walking into a ready made family and try to start a romance. He won't do anything but hurt all those involved.”
“I don't remember much of this story except a few good lines.
Grief is like a rushing river. It hits you when you least expect it.
None of us are perfect people, but that's the beauty of being loved by God. His love is perfect, so we don't have to be.”
