AmeriCorps Poetry Collection 2026
ByPublisher Description
This book is dedicated to the millions of Americans who have rolled up their sleeves, supported neighbors, rebuilt communities following disasters, taught and tutored students, supported seniors, built capacity, and otherwise served their country by participating in AmeriCorps and related National Service programs. And to mentors, staff, volunteers, nonprofits, governmental organizations, institutions of higher education, schools, State Commissions, and all others, including behind-the-scenes champions who made their work possible. This collection of verse is to honor them for their grit, grace, and belief that service is not a sacrifice, but a calling. Authors of poems in this volume are people who serve or have served as volunteers or members of one or more AmeriCorps programs, or who are otherwise affiliated with AmeriCorps, including but not limited to federal agency staff, grantees, program administrators & staff, State Commissions, commissioners, service recipients, and others.
