Publisher Description

“Inclusive, optimistic, and scorching, this romance sends the series out on a high note.” —Publishers Weekly, starred review

Award-winning author Adriana Herrera delivers hot romance and social justice in equal measure in this sexy contemporary read.

Juan Pablo Campos doesn’t do regrets. He’s living the dream as a physical therapist with his beloved New York Yankees. He has the best friends and family in the world and simply no time to dwell on what could’ve been.

Except when it comes to Priscilla, the childhood friend he’s loved for what seems like forever.

New York City police detective Priscilla Gutierrez has never been afraid to go after what she wants. Second guessing herself isn’t a thing she does. But lately, the once-clear vision she had for herself—her career, her relationships, her life—is no longer what she wants.

What she especially doesn’t want is to be stuck on a private jet to the Dominican Republic with JuanPa, the one person who knows her better than anyone else.

By the end of a single week in paradise, the love/hate thing JuanPa and Pris have been doing for sixteen years has risen to epic proportions. No one can argue their connection is still there. And they can both finally admit—if only to themselves—they’ve always been a perfect match. The future they dreamed of together is still within reach...if they can just accept each other as they are.

“Loved I really enjoyed this. I kinda wished that Pris would have let Juanpa in a bit quicker but this was totally worth all the emotional blue balls. “The communication in this book, especially the sexual communication was on point and so exquisitely done. This book was so freaking good. It was nice to see Priscilla learn to let other people in and talk about her feelings. Juan Pablo was so freaking sexy and sweet and the two together are fire. I'm slightly disappointed that the b plot didn't get resolved but that's just because I wanted to see Priscilla kick everyone's ass. I will really miss this group of friends. This entire series was just so well done and sexy. Many thanks for an advance copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher. “I really felt for Juan Pablo in this story. He was so determined to get back what he lost and learn from his past mistakes. He knows how much he's missing having Priscilla not be a part of his life. They've been friends for too long for him to lose her from his life. Ultimately he knows that he wants a future with her and is determined to do whatever he needs to to convince her to give him another chance. After the first three books in this series were MM I was expecting this one to be as well. But for all that this was MF I still fell in love with the characters and the familial relationships between them all. I love Juan Pablo and his friends. Priscilla fits in so well with them all, I'm sure in part because they've always known each other. This was a very satisfying addition to this series. I adore these characters and all of the cultural elements these stories are infused with. I really love this series and will be sad to leave these characters behind. “Given the blurb and what I knew about Juan Pablo and Priscilla's relationship, I knew this wouldn't be the book for me. That said, for the sort of romance it was, it was well done and I'm not mad I read it. I definitely look forward to whatever Adriana Herrera writes next.
