“Patrick is in my opinion is a nihilist in denial and very much a materialistic and selfish person and that's what makes the writing style so brilliant. It gets repetitive and it feels like your stuck in the same loop of self indulgence and , for lack of better words , judgemental mind of Patrick and thats exactly why I think the repetitive and dull nature of the writing fits so perfectly for Patrick as a character. Even the violence in the book doesn't feel very exciting it's as If he were still sitting at the table judging someone for not having a Valentino suit tailored just right and it's so PERFECT. It's not for everyone and I will admit I found myself taking longer to read this but it was worth the time for me.”
