“I could not put it down since I started 3 days ago. This had the "dark fairytale" vibe that I wanted from my previous read. it has generational curses, grief, an incredible fmc, and a well thought out character development. There isn't a formulated "happy ending". It's a realistic one with everything that she went through. It could've definitely been a duology. I think a lot happened in the 364 pages novel. Either way, it was a good segway from what I previously read.”

“A super refreshing fantasy novel, it isn't like anything I've read in a long time. The world building is wonderfully done. It feels very parallel to our own, what with the church and its history here, as well as how women are often treated even to this day. It's a really interesting blend of history with fantasy, and it is masterfully done. The main character is wonderfully complex, and I absolutely love the sort of stream of consciousness we get from her as events unfold. The plot being interspersed with our mc's family stories/history, and how those histories tie into the events of the plot, are also really uniquely handled and well done. It is a dark and twisty, unpredictable, story but with a happy ending despite all the awfulness our mc has to deal with in between. I can't recommend it enough, it is a fantastic read.”
