All She Ever Wanted

By Sarah Limardo
All She Ever Wanted by Sarah Limardo digital book - Fable

Publisher Description

Bridgerton meets The Princess Bride...

Aurelia Danby always loved fairy tales and heroes. But fanciful books made her ridiculous, so they were taken away, leaving her shackled to sensibility and high society.

She would have been hopelessly resigned to being a rich man's wife were it not for William Kingswood, her handsome and very unavailable neighbor who once saved her life as a child. He's spent the last ten years writing to her of his adventures in exchange for keeping his secret—that while he's a gentleman, he also rules the Atlantic as the infamous pirate, Captain Copson.

Aurelia is desperately in love with him, but sensible girls don't fall for pirates. She's also eager to escape her arranged marriage, and sometimes pirates are a ridiculous girl's best (if not preferred) option.

When Captain Copson causes an international scandal by stealing Aurelia from her royal fiancé, Aurelia embarks on an adventure to rival her favorite tales, filled with treasure, poker games, mermaids, battles, sea monsters, grand theft, French people, and wild schemes—including thwarting her fiancé who will do anything to get her back.

Aurelia Danby's heart has only ever belonged to adventure—and her very troublesome captain.

All She Ever Wanted is a standalone. It takes place 30 years after The Worst of Them, but the books can be read in any order. (Please note The Worst of Them is an unfinished prequel duet, with the second book coming in May 2027.)

““all she ever wanted” is probably one of my all time favorite books EVER now! bridgerton meets princess bride meets pirates of the caribbean. it was such a fun read and i was never bored. the character growth of Aurelia was AMAZING. and i loved that the slow burn actually had a PURPOSE and wasn’t drawn out (there was actually a legitimate reason for them to not be together). my only complaint is that this book isn’t a series, i literally had to stop myself from finishing it because i wanted it to last longer😭😭 and sarah limardo is an INDIE author?? she needs wayyy more hype!”
“This was by far my favorite book of the year. What a wonderfully adventurous story with a fantastic cast. Aurelia starts as an imaginative, lonely young girl being raised by her aunt outside of London. She dreams of adventure and escapes within her books which are soon taken away because she was 'too old' for such silly things. Through all of this, she happens to discover her neighbors are an infamous pirate family and of course starts crushing on the future captain of the fleet. Overhearing his secret she bribes him to tell her story of his adventures and she won't tell anyone. The fact that William writes letters to her for the next 10 years was absolutely adorable. I loved reading them. I felt immersed in this book. Aurelia and William, their whole begging was just so unique and different from anything I have read. I really enjoyed it. After 10 years of writing and they are both much older, Aurelia is off to be married to a prince in an arranged marriage. She writes to William and it's no surprise he comes to take her away. And well, you could guess how the story goes from there What was refreshing is that this felt like a true pirate adventure without super powers or Gods getting involved. The farthest it got was mermaids. So it was a relief to not have to follow as many magic principles and all that. Aurelia was a soft FMC, but still witty and smart. William had his dark side which I loved but his banter and then his sweetness with Aurelia was just to die for honestly. This story just made me giddy beyond compare. Like definitely every little girl's dream probably after watching Pirates of the Carribean. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a pirate romance. Plenty of adventure, action, schemes and amazing side characters. Not to mention character growth from both characters. LOVED it ✨💕”
