“Another 3.5 for me. Despite the messy, grief-stricken premise, the book ends up being incredibly sweet and wraps up with an almost too tidy of an ending.
Take a sudden death of a parent, throw in some unresolved mother-daughter strife, a questionable road trip, and a new-ish love interest and you get kind of a hot mess but somehow it mostly works. Each letter her mom left behind gives Maggie a little more insight into her mom’s secret life but it’s really her dad that holds the key.”
