“This was probably my least favorite of the Alex & Eliza trilogy because (as a Hamilfan) the whole Maria Reynolds subplot had me screaming “DON’T DO IT, ALEX!” from the beginning…knowing full well he was going to. Eliza’s snobbishness when it came to matchmaking also got on my nerves, but I did appreciate that she finally came around to Drayton and Emma being together (my perfect darlings, by the way). Melissa de la Cruz is a very talented author and I very much enjoy her writing style and adaptation of one of America’s most interesting historic couples. Highly recommend for history lovers!”
