“Thanks to NetGalley for the early read. This was a fun, quick read. Allie Foster and her old friend from high school Steve Durham are trying to find answers after Allie is suspected of murder.
The premise was quite unrealistic. Allie had a legal issue, called a man she hadn't spoken to since high school when she helped him with classwork. He immediately dropped everything, took an indefinite leave from work and went to his home town and help her figure things out without her even telling him on the phone what she needed.
I enjoyed the story after that, although parts of it were predictable. This is a fun, quick read if you don't overthink it. I finished it in less than a day. You definitely have to turn off any critical thinking to enjoy this one.”
