“The story was far from believable. The MMC was an absolute idiot with zero self-awareness—he didn’t listen to the FMC, zoned out mid-conversation, had no backbone, and constantly used sex to avoid discussing important issues. The gaslighting was off the charts, yet somehow the FMC was in love with him, and her best friend kept encouraging her to give him a chance, which was baffling.
The narration didn’t help either. Having one voice narrate all characters made it difficult to tell when there was a switch in perspective. I kept listening, hoping something would redeem the story, but it just didn’t happen and I gave up. The only interesting part was the storyline itself, but the details and execution completely missed the mark for me.”

This took a smidge too long to hook me in but once it did i was all in. A second chance romance between songwriter Eden and music executive Blaine.”
About Kianna Alexander
Like any good Southern belle, Kianna Alexander wears many hats: doting mama, advice-dispensing sister, and gabbing girlfriend. She's a voracious reader, an amateur seamstress and occasional painter in oils. Life in her world has never been boring, and has come with many twists and turns, but she's taking it all in stride. She's proud to tell stories where Black women are loved, valued, and thriving. A native of the TarHeel state, Kianna still lives there with her girlfriend, two kids, and a collection of well-loved vintage 80's Barbie dolls.
