About Prof. Peter Langridge

Dr Peter Langridge is Emeritus Professor of Plant Science at the University of Adelaide and former CEO of the Australian Centre for Plant Functional Genomics (ACPFC). Professor Langridge is also Chair of the Scientific Board of the Wheat Initiative set up to coordinate international research in wheat.

Dr Peter J. Gregory is Emeritus Professor of Global Food Security at the University of Reading, UK, where he was previously Professor of Soil Science. Dr Brian L. Beres

Dr. Beres is a research scientist at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s Lethbridge Research Centre in Alberta. Dr. Beres established an agronomy program in 2000 and leads several multi-disciplinary projects developing innovative and integrated crop management systems. Dr. Beres publishes in the areas of agronomy and crop science and has been the author or co-author of 64 peer-reviewed research articles and 2 book chapters. Dr. Beres is Past-President and Fellow (2017) of the Canadian Society of Agronomy, an active member of the American Societies for Agronomy, Crops and Soils. He serves as Co- Editor-In-Chief for the Canadian Journal of Plant Science, Associate Editor for Agriculture and Environmental Letters, and received the CJPS 2014 Outstanding Associate Editor award. Dr. Beres has several international collaborations and represents Canada on the Research Committee of the global Wheat Initiative, where he also recently developed and Chairs an Expert Working Group for global agronomy wheat research.
