A Time of Courage by John Gwynne digital book - Fable

Publisher Description

Heroes shall rise and fall, the earth shall be stained red, and the fate of the Banished Lands will be decided once and for all in A Time of Courage, the gripping conclusion to the Of Blood and Bone trilogy.

Now is the time of reckoning...

The demon-king Asroth is free of his iron prison, and the
whole of the Banished Lands stands on the brink of domination.

With the Ben-Elim broken and routed, half-breed Riv and a
small band of comrades must try to find a way to strike at the demon forces.

Meanwhile, Drem is with the Order of the Bright Star on a desperate march south to join the battle. He fears what they will find along the way, even as he knows it is better to fight and fall than to live without hope.

A Time of Courage Reviews

4.5
Beaming Face with Smiling Eyes“What an epic ending and final book to the trilogy! The storyline was perfection. I enjoyed following the characters, especially Drem and trying to figure out how it would all come together in the end, how they would all fight. Would they win? The magic, the realism. It’s just the perfect fantasy book.”
““To love and friendship, and bonds that cannot be broken. To you all, the greatest of friends. To truth and courage” i am SOBBING. i loved this series so much, such a respectable way to end the story of the banished lands and i am SO sad it’s over.”
“Overall Rating: 4/5 Emotional Impact = 4/5 The time of the great war has now come, alliances have been made it is now time to decide the fate of the Banished Lands. But war is ruthless and no one can guarantee they will survive. Some will suffer more than others but in the end everyone will loose something. Characters = 4/5 Jin - blinded by her rage and hatred for Bleda she has been made a mockery if and tricked at every turn. Now that the great war is here, Jin knows there is nowhere else for Bleda to run. Fritha - Fritha character arc is somewhat shared. Now that Asroth has been freed it is through Fritha's perspective that we see how he adjusts to life within the physical realm. Riv - Now that the truth of her heritage is known Riv must find a way to navigate this new world. But with help from Mecial and The Order Of The Bright Star, Riv finds she is not a alone as she thinks. Plot = 4/5 The plot for this final novel is simple. What was started 130 years ago in the halls of Drassil is now happening. The Great War, Asroth and his followers Vs the Ben-Elim and the Order of the Brightstar. Conclusion: 'A Time Of Courage' is the final installment of the 'Of Blood and Bone' triliogy and it does exactly what it is supposed to do. It ties of all character arcs and gives us the epic war that we have been waiting for, for the last 6 books. In comparison to 'The Faithful and The Fallen' series, 'Of Blood and Bone' feels alot more linear and has alot less fat. This helped the pacing of the series maintain a consistent pace and finished of what is really a 7 book arc beautifully. I think if Gwynne wanted to he could return to The Bannished Lands as he does somewhat leave the door a jar but the series does give a conclusion.”
