A Royal Second Chance Summer

By Viv Royce
A Royal Second Chance Summer by Viv Royce digital book - Fable

Publisher Description

Prince Nicolas is looking for a priceless royal heirloom. Trying to stay under the radar, he keeps that he’s a prince secret—especially from the cute antiques dealer he asks to help him. The longer it takes, the more time they get to spend together, though no matter how attracted he is to Lizzie, love is certainly not an option for the heir to the crown of Belfort.

Lizzie Cates fled her family’s new-found fame and fortune because life in the spotlight wasn’t for her. She loves her small town, where the most exciting thing on the schedule is the car parade for the Fourth of July. That’s just how she likes it, until Nicolas comes along. Lizzie finds herself falling for the caring man who craves the country and small-town life as much as she does.

Except Nicolas has a secret that will shatter both their dreams...

A Royal Second Chance Summer Reviews

“3 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was a sweet, but very predictable romance. I feel that this happens a lot to short books like this. 150 pages just isn't quite adequate enough to really make a phenomenal and realistic story in my opinion. I liked our main characters Lizzie and Nicolas, but the dialogue and relationship between them was just a bit too cheesy for my liking and was too much like insta-love. A little disappointing since these weren't teenage characters. However, the storyline was intriguing enough to keep me reading until the end, and I liked that the ending wasn't quite as predictable as the rest. Overall, a cute and short story for anyone looking for something simple and quick to read. **Much thanks to Entangled Publishing and Viv Royce for providing an eARC via NetGalley in exchange only for my thoughts and review. https://www.flickr.com/photos/186997408@N07/49540135601/in/dateposted-public/ Follow Me! http://www.instagram.com/alicia_reads_it | http://aliciareadsit.blog | http://www.twitter.com/Alicia_Reads_It”
“This story gave me serious Hallmark movie vibes! Small town girl falls for a foreign visitor to their small town. Turns out he’s a prince! It’s a quick lighthearted read. A little cheesy at times. Perfect for those looking for a sweet and clean romance.”
“This is absolutely adorable. From the first moment you get a laugh. Told from two different POV this book has a ton of heart and lots of adorable moments. The fact that it starts out as friends to lovers.”
“One of my favorite plots in fiction and movies are where girl meets guy and guy ends up secretly being a prince of some far away country and the girl ends up falling for him for who he is, not for his title. This book had potential, but it didn’t end up being one of my favorite stories ever. However, I still liked certain parts of the story and how Lizzie also tried to be true to herself throughout the book. Thank you Netgalley and publishers for allowing me the chance to read this book. This was a three star rating. A three star rating means I liked it, it wasn’t a bad book.”
“Normally I love royal romances but this story was just so boring! How could such a short story feel so long at the save time? The characters were just flat and there wasn’t enough development to become invested and care about them. Instead of this I highly recommend Heired Lines by the same publisher instead. It’s a much better and satisfying story about a royal seeking the help of a US commoner specializing in antiques. Thank you to Entangled Publishing LLC for providing an e-arc via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.”
