Lasting joy is a joy that endures every circumstance and every difficulty. The reason this happiness can withstand hardships is because it is sustained by God's faithfulness. Even though life's experiences are unpleasant at times, they are meant for eternal good. But God is not interested in making his people suffer. Instead, he wants humanity to learn reliance on his strength. In fact, he doesn't expect people to have the strength to overcome trials on their own. He wants believers to trust that he will sustain them in the difficulty. And since God is faithful, he will always make a way. It is best practice to maintain trust in him and not doubt his promises. This is the path to true happiness.

When believers rely on God, their joy remains despite the adversity. Certainly, believers are emotionally and mentally affected by their circumstances, but they have hope because they cling to God’s promises.
