“When your past comes back to town, and might take away your greatest dream, what is a lady to do? Add in several sets of twins (including the lady in question), the perfect elderly grandmotherly babysitter, and more, and this story provides an incredibly touching story.
Sometimes we know God walks beside us, but we doubt things around us, including our own worth. Nick and Joy fell in love and planned on marrying, but then circumstances changed. Now he returns to town as a widower and a father of twin sons. The two seek to move forward with their lives and try to determine where that leaves them.
This book resonated with me, and my heart broke for Joy. The relationship between Joy and her twin, and her brother-in-law, and niece added dimension to this story. The idea of working towards forgiving ourselves for past mistakes just as God offers us forgiveness when we repent of our sins made me continue reading this book. My heart broke for the characters in this book. Yet at other times, I rejoiced with them. While I will not give the ending away, this book ended on the perfect note.
Truly, I enjoyed reading this book. So check it out for yourself.
I received a complimentary copy of this book, but it in no way influenced my review. All opinions are my own.”
“Typical romance book. Nothing special about the book and very predictable.”
