“While the in-book puzzles and extra content email chapters are SUPER fun and unique, the story holding it all together was pretty weak, and the writing was cringeworthy. It’s like it didn’t know if it wanted to be fantasy magical and archaic, or urban magic with modern everything. Destiny was a terrible wet blanket of a main character, but I also found the other POVs were a sort of lazy way to provide backstory for characters we really don’t care about.”
