A Gentleman Never Tells

By Eloisa James
A Gentleman Never Tells by Eloisa James digital book - Fable

Publisher Description

A witty, sexy novella about a virgin widow and a rake with something to prove.

Eighteen months ago, Lizzie Troutt’s husband died in his mistress’s bed, leaving her determined to never marry again….and unfortunately virginal.

Eighteen years ago (give or take a few) the Honorable Oliver Berwick blackened his own soul, leaving him hardened and resolutely single.

When the chance for redemption in the form of a country house party invitation comes his way, Oliver is determined to prove himself a gentleman.

Until he breaks all the codes of gentlemanly behavior…once again.

“I found it a cute novella where a mistreated widow meets a man that slowly convinces her to marry again. Oliver goes to a house party with his niece and wants to make amends for something his friend group did when he was younger. When he's there he meets the sister of one of his "victims" and falls in love with her at first sight. It was great to see Lizzie learn that she's valuable and valued and have a HEA.”
“i don't have much experience reading this author, but i’ve noticed that she likes to write romances featuring two central couples, which isn't really my cup of tea. so i decided to skip the entire series and just read the novella where it's guaranteed there's only one focused couple. of course, due to the page count, the romance was fast, but it was still engaging and i had a fun time reading it.”
