A Fractured Light

By Jocelyn Davies
A Fractured Light by Jocelyn Davies digital book - Fable

Publisher Description

When she wakes up in unfamiliar surroundings, Skye knows something terrible has happened to her. It's not until she hears Asher, the dark, rebellious angel she fell in love with, that the memories come flooding back. She tries to put the past behind her, but she knows she'll be forever haunted by the ruthless betrayal that almost took her life.

Skye returns home, but with the knowledge of who she really is, nothing can ever be the same. As she tests the limits of her newfound powers, Skye discovers that she's capable of far more than anyone could have imagined. Both the Order and the Rebellion want her for their side as war between the factions looms. She can't forget the terrifying truth she now knows about the Order, but something holds her back from embracing the Rebellion.

A Fractured Light picks up right after A Beautiful Dark's shocking cliffhanger ending and is perfect for fans of Lauren Kate's Fallen and Becca Fitzpatrick's Hush, Hush saga.

Slightly Smiling Face“I did have to take a break on this book but the plot twists towards the end is amazing and that gets it half a point. Watching Skye go from scared to a actual badass is everything and we love to see it. Raven is honestly a loveable flawed character and I am here for it, I like seeing flawed female charcters because we don't get it often and it's annyoning as hell. Ending with Skye forming her own faction with Raven and her Aunt Jo is such a girl boss move and we absoultly stan. Skye slowly but surely became the living embodyment of Who's Afriad of Little Old Me and I am excited for it. Ironiclly I loved watching Skye Girl Boss so much that her realtionship with Asher was kinda boring, even the the mild spiciness of her still talking to Devin couldn't save it from being background to girlboss.”
“It has been almost ten years since I devoured A Beautiful Dark, and finally, I had the chance to return to this world with A Fractured Light. The narrative weaved in helpful mini-recaps that refreshed my memory without feeling clunky or repetitive. The story itself kicked off at a satisfying pace – not too slow to drag, but not so fast that I missed the details. Asher's appearances always made my heart skip a beat.. Clearly I'm still into him after all these years Cassie and Skye's bond warmed my heart, but Cassie's reaction to Skye's come back felt slightly idealistic for a friendship, I guess I expected her to rage rather than forgive immediately. To me, the real magic lies in the romance between Skye and Asher. Their connection is undeniable, beautifully written, and left me yearning for a love as real and passionate as theirs. This book definitely left me heavy with emotions that I'll need a short break before reading the last book of this trilogy I'm really not ready for this series to end”
