“I thought this was a fabulous read that had me openly laughing at regular intervals and made me start to think that I actually know very little about space, space exploration, and humanity's previous attempts. I loved the approach to explanation, being able to read it as a lay-person, and still enjoy and follow the science was a must. the little doodles didn't hurt either.
I'm definitely thinking about space settlement in a more holistic way than I once was, as I was most certainly one of the "big-explodey-rockets-are-awesome" people prior to this read, and I think as I write my own science fiction it may be more deeply rooted in realistic approaches.
