“It was a Fantastic read. Came across this book by Hilary Mantel when it was suggested by Girish, one of my GR and whatsapp book group friends for a monthly challenge. I was engrossed in the storyline which showcased the human foibles and how chance, decisions and unintended slight caused by words can topple human lives altogether. The characters were portrayed as real life , with flaws as well as redeeming qualities. No one was too good or too bad to be unbelievable. I listened to the audio version and was almost sad when it ended. I didn't want to come out of this world created by Mantel.”
“I love Hilary Mantel. I have read all the Thomas Cromwell books, a book of her short stories and now 'A Change of Climate', all different stories but all written in a way that draws you to the characters and places. This book has a lot going on in it but it draws together without flaws different times, places and events. I will definitely re-read this at some point and recommend to others.”
