Every month, Fable celebrates one of our great book clubs. This month, our featured club is Ezeekat’s Book Club, a free club dedicated to the warmth and comfort of community: “The only thing better than a cozy read and a cup of tea is having friends to share them with,” writes founder Jaysen.
Why did Ezeekat’s Book Club pick “Daughter of the Moon Goddess”?
Jaysen, the creator of TikTok account @ezeekat and Ezeekat’s Book Club here on Fable had a heartwarming reason for why he chose “Daughter of the Moon Goddess” for his club’s December pick:
"I think it's so easy to pick a 'holiday' book for December, but I know the holidays bring a lot of mixed feelings for everyone so I wanted to pick something that was more of an adventure, a true escape from the cold. 'Daughter of the Moon Goddess' seems to have it all based on the description. Action, adventure, a strong heroine, a budding romance and high stakes. That sounds like the perfect way to end the year if you ask me!"
Inspired by Chinese mythology and the legend of the moon goddess Chang’e, Tan’s debut novel has been read by many clubs on Fable, including Dangerous Women Book Club and Ezeekat’s Book Club. Many people have been rating it highly and it’s even being included on their top books of 2022 lists. You can read “Daughter of the Moon Goddess” HERE, and you can keep reading to find out why!
