What are you reading for Black History Month?
Feb 24 2025

Every February, Black History Month is celebrated in the United States. The month is a period of commemorating the achievements and contributions of Black Americans throughout history, who struggled with adversity to have a significant impact on the country. It’s the perfect time to recognize the nuances of Black history, including their struggles and triumphs along with their culture and heritage. The month was chosen in the early 1900s because it coincided with the birthdays of President Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass–two important abolitionist figures. In this post, you will find some of my favorite books with Black stories by Black authors, about Black lives.
