The National Book Foundation announced its highly-anticipated 2023 National Book Award longlist recently. With ten books in each of five categories—fiction, nonfiction, poetry, translated literature, and young people’s literature—it makes for an impressive (and somewhat overwhelming) list of excellent books to add to your Want To Read list. A shortlist of five books in each category will be shared on October 3rd, and the winners will be announced during an awards ceremony on November 15th.Here’s a selection of the honorees, Happy reading!
