Try all these tools for book club moderators
Congratulations — you’re a moderator! You now have special tools to help manage your club and build an even stronger community. Here’s your quick-start guide to everything you can do.1. Make club polls
Create a poll to let members pick the next read. You can quickly share it to your feed or socials, helping your club to grow.
2. Customize chat rooms
Spark meaningful conversations by creating topic rooms for any theme. Whether you want to discuss unique hobbies, pop culture tangents, or themed discussions, you can make a room for those conversations!
3. Use @club mentions
Need everyone’s attention? With the @club button, you can broadcast any message to the whole club. If you add the @club tag to any message, Fable will automatically send a push notification to all your members to share it more widely.
4. Add co-moderators
Running a club takes teamwork! If you tap the club members icon (the outlines of two people at the top of your club), you can see all your club members and invite trusted readers to become co-moderators with you.
5. Explore moderation tools
Foster a safe, positive community space in your club. Whenever you encounter harmful content that violates our community guidelines, you can tap the "..." icon next to the post to choose "Remove content," "Remove member," or "Ban member."
6. Earn a profile badge
When your public club reaches ten members, you’ll earn a shiny profile badge. These badges help readers discover your club and highlight your important contribution to our community. Wear it proudly!
7. Promote your club
Share updates with the wider Fable community by tagging your club in a post in the For You feed. We'll even help you write a post about your book switch, a simple way to grow your audience in the Fable communit!
That's it! Open up the Fable app and start using all these new tools. You’re now the guide, host, and spark that keeps your community reading and thriving.
