One of the greatest joys of my life was watching my son learn how to read. I started reading stories to him when he was just a year old. We shared stories together every day, and I am so proud to watch him grow up to be a life-long reader and a creative writer.One of our favorite pastimes when my son was young was our visits to the local libraries and bookstores. We may not have been reading the same book, but just sitting quietly next to each other, engrossed in the tales we were each reading, was a deep bonding experience.
