"Daisy Jones and the Six" is making its way from the page to the television. The beloved, best-selling novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid was originally released in 2019. Backed by Reese Witherspoon's Hello Sunshine production company, Amazon Prime Video started developing an adaptation in 2018. The limited series is set to follow the rise and fall of a fictional rock band loosely inspired by Fleetwood Mac. Against the backdrop of 1970s rock 'n roll, the story centers on lead singers Daisy Jones and Billy Dunne and their whirlwind love triangle. The cast is full of stars, from Riley Keough (Elvis Presley's granddaughter), who stars as Daisy Jones, to The Hunger Games star Sam Claflin, who plays Billy Dunne. Suki Waterhouse plays keyboardist Karen Sirko, Josh Whitehouse as bassist Eddie Roundtree, and Sebastian Chacon is the drummer Warren Rhodes. How it looked so much like two people in love. And yet, we’ll never truly know what lived between them. I wanted to write a story about that, about how the lines between real life and performance can get blurred, about how singing about old wounds might keep them fresh."
