Shalva Weil is Senior Researcher at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel, and Research Fellow in the Department of Biblical and Ancient Studies at UNISA, University of South Africa. From 2013-7, she served as Chair of the Cost Action IS1206 on “Femicide Across Europe.” She has addressed the Parliaments of Portugal, Aragon (Spain) and Rome, and spoken at three UN meetings on femicide. She runs an empowerment programme for slum migrant women of Caucasian origin and has researched intimate partner femicide among Ethiopian immigrants in Israel. She has published over 100 journal articles, including ten in scientific journals on femicide, and edited Special Issues on Femicide and several books on other subjects.Shalva Weil Books
