Nicolas Notovitch

Bio

A Russian explorer of the 1890s, Nicolas Notovitch converted from Judaism to Greek Orthodox Christianity. Notovitch wrote 12 books, chiefly on Russian politics, and is reputed to have inspired Rudyard Kipling's short story, "The Man Who Was."
