Jennifer Cognard-Black is Professor of English at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. She is the author or co-editor of five books, including Narrative in the Professional Age and Kindred Hands, From Curlers to Chainsaws, and Books that Cook: The Making of a Literary Meal, co-edited with Melissa Goldthwaite.
