Bio
George MacDonald (1824-1905) was a Scottish author, philosopher, and theologian. He wrote was is considered the first modern fantasy novel Phantastes, as well as children's stories, adult novels, and numerous theological essays and sermons. His work influenced some of the most well-known writers of the early twentieth century such as G.K. Chesterton, C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, Mark Twain, and Madeleine L'Engle.George MacDonald Books
